We are recruiting for a Sous Chef to join a prestigious hotel brand in Worksop. This impressive hotel features stunning original architecture, a grand Great Hall, and overlooks acres of beautiful parkland. The kitchen operates at a high volume, serving 500+ covers per day, delivering consistently excellent dining experiences in a fast-paced environment.

The Role
As Sous Chef, you will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring all sections are well-organised and fully prepared for service.
Working closely with the Head Chef, you will support the development of junior chefs, maintain exceptional food standards, and help drive a positive, team-focused culture within the kitchen.
This is a hands-on leadership role in a high-volume environment, ideal for someone who enjoys both mentoring others and delivering quality food at pace.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen operations across all sections
- Ensure smooth and efficient service for 500+ covers per day
- Train, supervise and support junior chefs
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen organisation
- Monitor stock levels, manage orders, and control food costs
- Support the Head Chef in maintaining excellent guest satisfaction
- Promote a positive and collaborative team environment
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous ready to step up
- Experience working within a branded or high-volume kitchen environment
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
- Good financial awareness and cost control experience
- Passion for high-quality food and service
- Confidence to challenge standards and drive continuous improvement
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced kitchen environment
