Salary: £34,000 per annum + 10% profit share

We’re now looking for a General Manager to continue building on that success and lead our fantastic team from the front.

We’re an independent pub company with a passion for fresh food, quality drinks, and genuine hospitality. Our Halifax venue combines the warmth of a traditional pub with the buzz of live sport, entertainment, and great food — including a popular carvery served Monday to Sunday. We’re proud of our close-knit team and our commitment to providing a brilliant experience for both guests and staff alike.
The Role
As General Manager, you’ll oversee all aspects of the pub’s daily operations, ensuring that service, standards, and atmosphere are consistently excellent. You’ll play a key role in driving the business forward — from boosting community engagement to maintaining high-quality food and drink standards.
Key Responsibilities

Lead, motivate, and support your team to deliver outstanding hospitality

Manage financial performance, including stock, labour, and compliance

Drive sales and profitability through local marketing and events

Oversee our popular weekly carvery, live sports showings, and events such as Friday karaoke afternoons

Champion our community involvement, including our pool and darts teams

Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment at all times
About You

Previous experience as a General Manager or Assistant Manager in a busy pub or food-led venue

Hands-on, approachable, and a natural leader

Passionate about fresh food, great service, and creating a positive team culture

Commercially aware with solid knowledge of GP, labour, and sales targets

Flexible and organised — ready to thrive in a lively, fast-paced environment
