Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay Rate: £18.00 per hour
About the Role:
We are advertising on behalf of a busy, family-run coffee shop in Hatfield seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join their kitchen team immediately.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled chef looking for excellent work-life balance, with daytime-only shifts and no weekend work. You will be working in a fast-paced kitchen, supporting the Head Chef in delivering high-quality breakfast, brunch, and lunch dishes.
Key Responsibilities:

Assisting the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen

Preparing and cooking fresh breakfast, brunch, and lunch dishes

Ensuring food is prepared and presented to a high standard

Supporting smooth kitchen service during busy periods

Maintaining cleanliness, organisation, and hygiene standards

Assisting with stock control and kitchen prep

Supporting junior team members and kitchen porter as required

What We’re Looking For:

Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie ready to step up

Experience working in a busy fresh food kitchen

Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Good organisational skills and attention to detail

Reliable, hardworking, and able to start immediately
