Job Title: Sous Chef, Pub (Temporary Ongoing)

Hours: 2 days per week, 12:00pm – 8:00pm
Pay Rate: £18.50 per hour
About the Role
KSB Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join a busy pub kitchen in Pickering on a temporary ongoing basis. This is a great opportunity for a chef looking for part-time, flexible work in a friendly and well-established pub environment serving up classic pub food.
The Role
- Supporting the kitchen team in the preparation and delivery of classic pub dishes including fish & chips, burgers and more.
- Maintaining high standards of food quality, consistency and presentation.
- Ensuring excellent food hygiene, cleanliness and kitchen organisation.
- Working efficiently during busy service periods.
- Supporting the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth, consistent service.
Shift Details
- 2 days per week (days vary dependent on rota).
- 12:00pm – 8:00pm shifts.
- Temporary ongoing contract.
- Part-time, flexible working.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie ready to step up.
- Confident working in a busy pub kitchen environment.
- Reliable, professional and a strong team player.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
- Positive attitude with good communication skills.
