Senior Sous Chef – Riverside Hotel

Location: Windsor

Salary: £35,000-£40,000 DOE

Shift: Full-time, multi-outlet kitchen environment

Are you an experienced Senior Sous Chef looking to take the next step in your culinary career? This stunning riverside hotel, opening in 2024, offers award-winning spa facilities, restaurants, bars, and a variety of outdoor activities. You’ll join a busy, multi-outlet kitchen where your leadership, creativity, and passion for quality will directly shape the guest experience.

The Role

  • Support the Head Chef in leading the kitchen team and driving day-to-day operations

  • Take ownership of menu execution, stock control, and compliance

  • Supervise, coach, and develop junior chefs to foster a high-performing team

  • Ensure exceptional food safety and hygiene standards

  • Manage inventory, control food costs, and contribute to departmental financial targets

  • Deputise for the Head Chef during their absence, maintaining standards and operational continuity

  • Support innovation and continuous improvement in menu development and service delivery

About You

  • Proven leadership experience in high-volume, multi-outlet kitchens

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while balancing operational delivery with team development

  • Passionate about quality, consistency, and creating memorable guest experiences

  • Strong communicator, able to challenge and uphold standards while fostering collaboration

  • Skilled in financial management, stock control, and kitchen systems (EPOS, rostering, Excel reporting)

  • Expert in food safety, health & safety, and compliance

  • Organised, detail-oriented, and able to build strong working relationships
