About Us:

We are working in partnership with a leading hospitality group who have recently acquired this fantastic 200-cover venue in Halifax. With a strong focus on delivering high-quality, traditional carvery offerings in a warm and welcoming environment, this site is set to become a local favourite. As the General Manager, you’ll be instrumental in building the business and team from the ground up.

What We Offer:

● Competitive salary of £34,000 – £38,000 per annum

● 45-hour contracted week

This role presents an excellent opportunity to take full ownership of a newly acquired site with strong backing and resources from a supportive company.

Key Responsibilities:

● Oversee the daily operation of a busy 200-seat, 7-day carvery restaurant

● Manage, motivate, and develop a team of 18 staff members

● Maintain high standards of food quality, service, and cleanliness

● Ensure full compliance with health & safety and licensing laws

● Lead on stock control, rota management, budgeting, and financial performance

● Deliver excellent customer service and foster a welcoming atmosphere

● Work closely with the head office and operations manager to drive performance

Requirements:

● Proven experience as a General Manager in a busy food-led venue

● Strong leadership and people management skills

● Ability to deliver results and meet targets

● Experience in budgeting, stock control, and compliance

● Passion for delivering great food and customer experiences

● Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and evenings
