We are looking for a reliable and passionate Line Chef to join the kitchen team at a newly taken-over gastro pub in Manchester. The pub is now part of a brilliant and up-and-coming pub company with exciting expansion plans and a strong focus on quality food.
This is a great opportunity for a Line Chef to be part of a growing business from an early stage, working in a fresh-food kitchen and helping to establish a strong food offering. While the role is on a zero hours contract, hours are expected to average around 30 per week and may increase as the site becomes busier.

Key Responsibilities

Work as part of the kitchen team preparing and cooking dishes to a high standard

Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation across all sections

Follow recipes and kitchen procedures set by the Head Chef

Assist with food prep, stock rotation, and cleanliness

Maintain high standards of food hygiene, health & safety

Support the team during busy services, particularly lunch trade
Requirements
-
Previous experience as a Line Chef, Commis Chef, or similar role
-
Passion for fresh food and working in a gastro pub environment

Ability to work well in a fast-paced kitchen

Good teamwork and communication skills

Flexible availability, including weekends

A positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop
