KSB Recruitment Consultants And The Coronavirus Pandemic

KSB Recruitment Consultants – Our response to the COVID-19 pandemic

KSB Recruitment Consultants remain open for business, albeit in a slightly different format…..but we ARE open!!!

Here is a statement from the Managing Director, Dawn Bannister.

We are deeply saddened by the events that are unfolding surrounding the recent outbreak of Coronavirus.  Not only is it costing thousands of lives worldwide but it is causing maximum disruption to everyone in every corner of the globe.

Unfortunately, no-one knows when this pandemic will end and when, if ever, life will go back to some kind of normality.  At KSB Recruitment Consultants we are making every effort to remain positive and optimistic for the future, which is why the health and safety of every single employee, temporary worker, customer and candidate is our number one priority.

As a business we have put a number of measures in place which will ensure the on-going safety of our employees, the continuity of our business, and support mechanisms for both candidates and clients.

WORKING FROM HOME:

As it stands, all KSB Recruitment Consultants permanent staff have been furloughed.  This decision was made in the best interests of the business to ensure its continued success in the future.  The business is currently being run, and will continue to be run, by both Dawn Bannister, Managing Director and Jon Bannister, Operations Director.  Both are available anytime to assist you with any questions or queries you may have, and in the event of you needing staff are available to assist with this too.

As a business that predominantly works within the catering and hospitality industries, it was necessary, due to the decline in workload, to furlough our permanent staff during this time.  However, as we are a recruitment business that can adapt its systems and procedures to service any particular industry, should the need be there for us to amend our business model during these times, we can, with immediate notice, bring staff back from being furloughed.

All of our staff have the facility, if required, to be able to work from home as we are fully computerised and set up to operate remotely where required.  This situation will be constantly monitored in line with Government recommendations.

HOW KSB RECRUITMENT CONSULTANTS BUSINESS WILL CONTINUE TO RUN

Continuity of business is key to our on-going success which is why the Directors will continue to be available at all times to assist with client and worker enquiries.

We can continue to talk to clients either by phone or Zoom and likewise with candidates for interviews/queries/questions.

If at any point you wish to discuss your staffing needs now or in the future, please do not hesitate to contact us as we currently have a large pool of temporary workers seeking employment in any sector: catering, portering (NHS), warehouse work, stacking shelves, etc.

With regards to our temporary staff; as a business, our most important value is that of integrity and operating with a high moral compass.  With this in mind we continue to talk to our finance providers and NOVA, our payroll company, to make ATTEMPTS to be able to offer some kind of financial package to our temporary workers.  Whilst no promises can be made, I can offer assurances that behind the scenes we are working hard to establish where we can help. We will endeavour to keep you as up to date on this as possible.

In the meantime, please see www.gov.uk for further assistance with what you are entitled to from the Government right now.

HOUSEKEEPING

KSB Recruitment Consultants will NOT at any stage during this outbreak be operating from our normal offices. However, we will continue to serve you by being available from 08:00–18:00 Monday – Friday.  Whilst these are our core office hours, should you require any assistance outside of these hours, please call Jon Bannister on his mobile number (see below).

Our main office number 0121 702 1428 will continue on divert, at no cost to yourselves, for the foreseeable future. We would ask that you please bear with us at busy times.

FOR CLIENTS;

We are more than happy to offer any assistance during this difficult time.  The unknown for us all is very challenging and recruiting may not be high on your agenda right now.  However, if you wish to have a discussion about how we can continue to support you, not just now but in future weeks/months when this is all over, we are more than happy to offer our expertise, help and support in assisting you to get back to some kind of normality when the time arises.

There are things that we can do together such as talking about how to manage the crisis and how to manage your staff through this.  We have links with a number of HR experts who can offer support and guidance through this time and are also members of the REC who have resident legal experts on hand that we can turn to should we need additional advice and support.

We want you to be reassured that we are here for you now and in the future when things change and we can help with that transition back to normality.

FOR CANDIDATES/TEMPORARY WORKERS

Please feel free to continue to apply through us for work.  We will be increasing our database and forming greater strategic customer relationships which will be our number one focus when we return to normality.  It is important to develop that relationship with your recruiter now to be in the best place when jobs are being rolled out and become available again.

If you need any advice or have specific concerns at all please feel free to message us anytime.  We can try to provide you with the best advice and hopefully put your mind at rest.  If this situation is causing you a huge amount of stress and you feel unable to cope, there are organisations available such as MIND and The Samaritans that you can contact for further help and assistance.

Finally, it goes without saying that we absolutely will get through this.  Let’s hope when we do the world will be a much better place for it.  If anything, just remember to simply be kind….

Please stay safe and well, ensure you stick to the Government’s recommendations for keeping us all safe and well, and we hope to see you on the other side of this.

Take care.
