About Us
Our 4-star hotel in the heart of Hereford is well regarded for its fresh, seasonal menus and consistent delivery. With a kitchen team of over 30 chefs, we serve 200–400 covers each day across multiple dining areas. The last customer sitting is at 8pm, meaning most evening shifts finish by 9:00–9:30pm, helping maintain a better balance between work and life.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Head Chef in running daily kitchen operations

Lead service and manage junior chefs across sections

Maintain hygiene and health & safety standards at all times

Assist with stock management and food cost control

Ensure consistency and quality across every dish leaving the kitchen

Contribute to seasonal menu development and kitchen efficiency
Requirements

Experience as a Sous Chef in a fresh food, high-volume kitchen

Strong leadership and team development skills

A hands-on approach with attention to detail

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays

Driving licence and access to own transport highly desirable due to rural location
