We are a respected hotel in Bridgwater offering a refined dining experience using locally sourced, fresh ingredients. With covers ranging between 50 and 70 per service, we take pride in delivering elegant, well-executed dishes to our guests. The kitchen has a strong record of promoting from within—our current Sous Chef started as a Commis here and has grown through the ranks.

What We Offer:

● Competitive Pay: £12.95 per hour

● Hours: 40 hours per week

● Shift Patterns: 1:30pm–9:30pm or 2:00pm–10:00pm

● Rota: One weekend off every four

Career Growth:

This is the perfect role for a Commis Chef with around 6 months of kitchen experience who is eager to grow in a fresh food, fine dining setting. You’ll learn from experienced chefs and be given the chance to advance within a stable and respected hotel kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

● Support in the preparation and service of high-quality, fresh dishes

● Maintain cleanliness and organisation across kitchen sections

● Uphold all food hygiene and safety standards

● Assist with stock rotation and general mise en place

● Work efficiently as part of a close-knit, professional team

Requirements:

● Minimum 6 months experience in a professional kitchen (fresh food preferred)

● Enthusiastic, eager to learn, and committed to quality

● Good communication and teamworking skills

● Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and evenings

● Right to work in the UK
