Catering Assistant Job

Our high school and sixth form, based in the vibrant community of Droitwich Spa, provides an inclusive, supportive, and high-performing environment for students aged 11–18. Our onsite catering team plays a vital role in supporting our students and staff by providing nutritious, freshly prepared meals every day.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation and service of hot and cold meals to students and staff.

Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas.

Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently under the supervision of senior catering staff.

Support with food preparation tasks, portion control, and restocking as needed.

Follow all food safety regulations and school policies regarding allergens and dietary requirements.

Provide friendly, helpful service to students during meal times in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:

Experience in a catering, kitchen, or food service environment is desirable but not essential.

A valid enhanced DBS check is required.

Knowledge of basic food hygiene practices (Level 1 or 2 Food Safety qualification is an advantage).

Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.

A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a supportive school community.

Must be local to the Droitwich Spa area – no accommodation is provided with this role.
