Sous Chef – Fresh Food, Fine Dining & Events

Location: Lincoln, Lincolnshire, UK

Contract Type: Temporary

Duration: 2-month contract starting 7th June 2026

Hours: Approx. 50 hours per week (mainly Monday–Friday, with occasional weekend shifts during busy event periods)

Pay Rate: £18.00 per hour

About the Role:

We are advertising on behalf of a high-end contract catering company specialising in fresh food and fine dining, seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join their Lincoln-based operation, delivering Rosette-level food in both a production kitchen and at prestigious UK events, primarily in London.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen

  • Preparing and delivering fresh, high-quality dishes to Rosette standards

  • Working within both the production kitchen and at off-site events

  • Maintaining exceptional food quality, presentation, and consistency

  • Supporting and mentoring junior kitchen team members

  • Ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are maintained at all times

  • Travelling to events across the country as required, predominantly in London

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef within a fresh food, fine dining, Rosette, or high-end events environment

  • Strong knowledge of fresh ingredient preparation and modern cooking techniques

  • Experience working in busy production kitchens and event catering operations

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills

  • Ability to adapt to varying workloads and event schedules

  • A positive attitude and willingness to travel when required

  • Reliable, professional, and capable of performing under pressure
