General Assistant Job
Location: Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex, UK
Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour
Contract Type: Temporary
Hours: 08:00 – 14:30 (Mon-Fri)
Duration: Immediate start until 19/12/2025

Are you an experienced General Assistant looking for a new opportunity? KSB Recruitment is delighted to be working on an exciting role where you’ll play an important part in a hardworking kitchen team at a well-established site in Colchester.
Key Responsibilities:

Serve food and beverages following portioning and presentation standards

Prepare basic cold food and made-to-order items

Take payments and maintain accurate financial records

Restock goods and maintain displays
-
Clean counters, equipment, and public areas

Report feedback, issues, or hazards to the line manager

Follow food hygiene and safety procedures
-
Complete daily paperwork and required training
Requirements:

Food Hygiene Level 2 Certificate (training can be provided)
-
1–2 years’ experience in food service or retail is desirable (not essential)

Good level of spoken English

Flexibility to meet business needs

Enhanced DBS required
