Trainee Assistant Restaurant Manager – Development Opportunity

Location: Leicestershire

Salary: Up to £27,000 per annum, depending on experience

Hours: Full-time – 40hrs, Alternate Weekends

About the Role

Are you looking for the next step in your hospitality career? This is a training and development opportunity for an aspiring restaurant manager. Whether you have supervisory experience or are eager to grow into a management role, this position will provide the hands-on experience and support needed to progress.

As a Trainee Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will work closely with the General Manager and the existing Assistant Restaurant Manager, gaining experience in all aspects of running a successful venue. This includes team leadership, customer service, stock control, and operational efficiency. You will also assist in managing events, making any experience in this area valuable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the daily operations of the restaurant to ensure smooth service
  • Support and motivate the team to deliver excellent customer experiences
  • Learn and apply key business skills such as stock control and cost management
  • Handle customer queries and contribute to resolving issues efficiently
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations
  • Gain experience in staff training and development
  • Assist with opening, closing, and keyholder responsibilities
  • Support the planning and execution of events

What We’re Looking For

  • A passion for hospitality and a desire to develop leadership skills
  • Some experience in a restaurant role
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude toward learning
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team
  • Willingness to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Hospitality Management or a Food Hygiene Certificate) are beneficial but not essential
