KSB Recruitment are a specialist recruitment company working in both Catering and Hospitality. We have been selected to recruit for a strong Sous Chef to work at our client’s boutique hotel in Somerset. All the produce is fresh, with 100% traceable produce sourced locally.
The brigade is moving into a 4-day working week shift pattern offering you a work life balance. If you have worked within a fresh food environment, Gastro or/and fine dining we would like to hear from you.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Run the pass during busy service time
Ensure the kitchen adheres to all Food Safety and Health and Safety regulations
Ensure a smooth operation within the kitchen
Excellent plate presentation with the ability to train other chefs within the brigade
Restaurant peaks to 100 covers over the weekend, main restaurant stays consistent.
Able to Caterer for both the relaxed dining area and also the hotels private dining.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Strong Leadership skills, firm but fair approach
- Excellent attention to details – Presentation is at a high standard
- Currently working as a Sous Chef
- Fine Dining / Gastro / Fresh Food solid experience
- Able to identify new trends and implement new ideas into the food offering
- Industry relevant qualifications or equivalent experience
