Head Sommelier

KSB Recruitment are a specialist recruitment company and we have been selected to recruit for a Master of Wine or Head Sommelier to work within a Luxury Five Star, 1 Michelin Star awarded property located in southwest England.

Due to location, accommodation is available in the local town. Own transport required.

Head Sommelier

Management:

  • Part of the management team; leader of service
  • Daily management capabilities on the floor

Program Management:

  • Ordering wine with the Director of Food and Beverage
  • Tracking and maintaining all wine inventory

Service:

  • Ambassador for the service team
  • World-class service
  • Guide guest through the wine list with an eye towards service
  • Support in private dining wine service

Wine Knowledge:

  • Demonstrates a deep knowledge of producers and vintages
  • Knowledge of service; when to decant, how to handle older bottles
  • Maintains a presence in the Sommelier community
  • Passion; second to none.
*WSET Level 3/4 preferred or “Master of Wine”.
